9 New Corporate Volunteers in the Foundation's Board of Directors

The Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation welcomed nine new members to its Board of Directors over the past year. In celebration of la semaine de l’action bénévole, we would like to introduce you to these exceptional individuals—our business volunteers—who have impressive career paths and a deep desire to make a difference.

François-Pierre Chevalier

François-Pierre Chevalier is a seasoned entrepreneur who made his mark in the family business Bio-K+ International, where he held several key positions before becoming co-president. In October 2020, he and his sister decided to sell the company to Kerry Group. He is now President of Dynamark Management.

Mr. Chevalier is determined to act as a force for positive change in his community. He wants to contribute to improving people's quality of life and helping healthcare professionals in their arduous but essential work for the well-being of the population. Health is a cause particularly important to him.

"My community involvement stems from my passion for people, governance, and health. Serving as a member of the Board fulfills my need to actively contribute to causes that help communities build a healthier world."

Mr. Chevalier returned to our Board of Directors in March 2024.

 Jad Barsoum

A law graduate and member of the Quebec Bar, Jad Barsoum held several positions within the Quebec government before joining Quebecor in 2019. He is currently Vice-President, Institutional Affairs at the company. He has also served on several boards of directors of organizations working in the fields of culture, health, and education.

Mr. Barsoum, who has witnessed the excellent care provided by the skilled professionals at the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital, wishes to become involved with our Foundation to contribute to the well-being of the community, as Sacré-Cœur is an important pillar of the Montreal community thanks to its recognized expertise and its projects that help progress in medicine.

"The Foundation plays a key role in supporting the Hospital's innovative projects and cutting-edge expertise. This institution, in addition to being an important hub for Greater Montreal, has played an essential role for many members of my family, and it's only natural for me to give back."

Mr. Barsoum has been with us since May 2024.

Claudie Bélisle-Desjardins

For twelve years, Claudie Bélisle-Desjardins held various positions within the family business Riobel. She now combines her legal expertise, business acumen, and management skills in her role as President of Groupe Wilnor, a sustainable real estate company she founded in 2016.

Mrs. Bélisle-Desjardins' involvement stems from a deep conviction that mental health must be a priority. She aims to provide the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital and the Albert-Prévost Mental Health Hospital—which play a central role in several specialties, including trauma and mental health—with all the resources they need to achieve their full impact in the community.

"In a context of exploding needs, it is imperative to support the institutions that care for our community, both psychologically and physically. As a board member, I bring a different perspective, energy and a complementary network." I sincerely believe that it is by combining strengths, ideas, and approaches that we move things forward and that we make the Foundation's mission shine."

Mrs. Bélisle-Desjardins joined our Board of Directors in May 2024.

Raed Bechara

For 25 years, Raed Bechara was the President and CEO of the company he founded, Industries de Palettes Standard (IPS) Inc., which became a leader in the recycled pallet sector. This company was acquired by Paramount Pallet in February 2022. Throughout his career, Mr. Bechara has been deeply involved in the community, serving on the boards of several organizations.

While he has achieved great success with his company, Mr. Bechara strives to give back by getting involved in the community. Through his involvement on our Board of Directors, he contributes to a cause particularly close to his heart—health. He wants to give the Foundation the means to improve the quality of life in the community.

"My parents left Syria in 1987 to provide a better life for me and my two younger sisters. When you're given this opportunity to develop in living conditions like ours, you realize that with hard work, it's possible to succeed. That's how I became an entrepreneur. My knowledge of the business world allows me to use the connections I've made over the years to support causes that are close to my heart, including health."

Mr. Bechera returned to the board of directors in September 2024, after a few years' hiatus.

Nancy Audette

Nancy Audette has been Chief Growth Officer at Cogeco since 2021. Her more than 25-year career in the telecommunications and digital media industry includes senior leadership roles not only in Canada, notably at Rogers and TC Media, but also internationally.

Mental health is a particularly important issue for Mrs. Audette. She recognizes an urgent need to increase mental health support for patients and their loved ones. She wishes to invest her time and expertise in helping the Foundation gather the necessary resources to increase the capacity of professionals at the Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital and the Albert-Prévost Mental Health Hospital to meet the growing needs of the population.

“I am driven by the desire to contribute to their essential work by raising awareness and securing increased financial support. I want to actively participate in empowering those on the front lines to continue making a tangible difference in our community.”

Mrs. Audette joined our Board of Directors in November 2024.

Toni Dilli

Toni Dilli, an audit partner at KPMG, has over 25 years of experience auditing large multinational corporations and mid-sized businesses in the manufacturing, forestry, and transportation sectors. He has held several leadership positions within KPMG. He is involved in the community, serving as a member of the Boards of Directors of the Foundation of Greater Montreal and the Special Olympics of Quebec.

For Mr. Dilli, the Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital plays a vital role in the community by providing quality care to a diverse population. Having benefited from a superb support network himself, getting involved with the Foundation is an opportunity for him to help provide other families with access to the best care and skilled professionals in times of great need.

"Sacré-Coeur is a place where no one is left behind—where compassion, dedication, and excellence come together every day." I am proud to support an institution that has such a tangible and human impact on the community."

Mr. Dilli served as a member of the Board of Directors of les petits trésors Foundation, which recently ceased operations and whose mission is now carried out by our Foundation. Mr. Dilli has continued his involvement on our Board since November 2024.

Sandra Lécuyer

Sandra Lécuyer currently serves as Head of Culture and Brand at Cominar. Human resources and marketing have intertwined throughout her career, which spans more than 20 years. Her background includes various management positions, first in Argentina and then in Canada.

Over the years, Mrs. Lécuyer has been deeply involved in organizations that enrich the life of her community. Today, she hopes to use her skills to promote the expertise of healthcare professionals at the Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital and to help the Foundation obtain the necessary support to drive innovation and enrich human life in Montreal society.

"The Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital is rich in history and deserves a reputation that matches its expertise. What motivates me in my involvement with the Foundation is to help put the Hospital at the forefront in the Montreal region so that it can continue to innovate."

Mrs. Lécuyer has been a member of our Board of Directors since last February.

Alexandre St-Jacques

Since joining the organization in 2007, he has held several key financial positions. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction and the professional designation "Financial Risk Manager (FRM)."

Mr. St-Jacques wanted to get involved with the Foundation because of the key role it plays in ensuring that the Sacré-Cœur Hospital continues to innovate, provide outstanding patient care and excel in the specialties that make this healthcare institution a pillar of our system. He aims to help maximize the impact of each donation to transform lives.

"Sacré-Cœur is a place of hope, expertise and humanity. Bringing my rigor and expertise to such a human cause touches me deeply. Being part of the Board of Directors is a concrete way for me to give back, to support those who care for our community day after day, and to actively engage in a meaningful project.”

Mr. St-Jacques joined our Board of Directors last February.

Caroline Healey

“Joining the Board of Directors of the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital Foundation is, for me, a concrete way to give back to the community and support a beloved institution that serves thousands of patients each year.
