Les petits trésors Child Psychiatry Fund
The mission of La Fondation les petits Trésors is now carried out by the Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation, which supports child psychiatry care at the Hôpital en santé mentale Rivière-des-Prairies.
Let's continue to support and develop mental health care for children and adolescents together!
Our Foundation takes the torch and will take over from the Fondation les petits Trésors in order to preserve its mission.
Les Petits Trésors Child Psychiatry Fund will finance research, teaching and development projects in mental health care for children and adolescents.
The mental health of our children and adolescents is more relevant than ever and a societal issue that must be addressed and which will continue to be addressed within the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital Foundation . Thank you for continuing to support the cause so that les Petits Trésors Child Psychiatry Fund, can grow and meet the growing needs of children and adolescents.

Montreal, January 2025
Dear friends, partners and donors,
The Fondation les petits trésors committed for more than 40 years to children and adolescents living with mental health or autism diagnoses, is passing the torch to the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital Foundation, as of this day.
In the current economic context, it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain our operations. In order to ensure the sustainability of its mission, the board of directors of the Fondation les petits trésors has decided to transfer its assets to the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital Foundation, which, like the Fondation les petits trésors, is part of, the great CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal family. Established for nearly 50 years, the Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital Foundation has supported, since its creation in 1976, adult mental health and child psychiatry at the Albert-Prévost Pavillion, now the Albert-Prévost Mental Health Hospital, since 2016.
The sums raised thanks to our partners and donors will be kept in a specific fund, called Les Petits Trésors Child Psychiatry Fund, which will allow the financing of research, teaching and development projects in mental health care for children, adolescents and adults. Parents who have been involved with our Foundation since the very beginning will be able to count on the support of an organization equally committed to child psychiatric mental health.
I am very aware that this news may seem destabilizing for your partners, friends and donors. I assure you that in collaboration with the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital Foundation, the transition will be smooth. Even if la Fondation des petits trésors ceases its activities, its mission will not be abandoned. The mental health of our children is more relevant than ever and a societal issue that must be addressed and which will continue to be addressed within the Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital Foundation. At this time, it is important that we can protect the capital accumulated over the years and that the donations collected can be used for the good of children.
We would like to thank all our partners for their support and all those who believed and who more than ever continue to believe in the cause. Over the years, the Fondation les petits trésors has been able to count on the unwavering support of individuals, public figures, athletes and large businesses in order to support the approximately 350,000 young Quebecers as well as their families who must navigate life on a daily basis with a mental health disorder or even with autism.
Thank you for allowing us to carry out dozens of research projects in autism, anxiety and sleep, which today allow us to better diagnose and understand mental health disorders and autism. Your commitment has also allowed us to set up multiple therapeutic spaces inside the Hôpital en santé mentale Rivière-des-Prairies, so that health specialists are better equipped at the clinical level. Many clinical tools have also been developed over time. All hospitalization units now benefit from sensory rooms, essential for young people, for doctors, nurses, psychologists, educators, social workers and other specialists who work with them. We have provided all this support for 40 years, and Les Petits Trésors Child Psychiatry Fund will take over!
I therefore invite you to continue to be interested in our cause and to ensure that Les Petits Trésors Child Psychiatry Fund can develop and meet the growing needs of children and adolescents.
