New members join the Foundation’s Board of Directors

The Board of Directors welcomes eight new members.

The Foundation is pleased to welcome these individuals, all of whom have impressive track records and have enjoyed outstanding success in their chosen careers. They will be valuable ambassadors for our major campaign, It all starts with your signature.

Raed Bechara

President and CEO, Industrie de palettes Standard (IPS) Inc.

An effective administrator, Raed Bechara is known for his human approach to ensuring growth and sustainability. He is the owner and founder of IPS. In 2003 he bought out his main competitor and integrated operations to become the leader in his field.

Julie Boucher

President and co-Director General, CIUSSS NIM

Holding both a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Montreal, Ms. Boucher has more than 25 years of experience working in the health and social services network, including a number of leadership positions.

André Desautels

General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, WSP Canada Inc.

With more than 23 years of experience working on complex international negotiations, operations, mergers and acquisitions as well as organizational transformation and compliance, André Desautels brings with him a strong and diverse expertise. A lawyer by training, Mr. Desautels is known for the acumen of his legal advice and for his innovative thinking.

Claude Gagnon

President, Operations, BMO Financial Group (Québec)

Having built a solid reputation in the banking world, Claude Gagnon oversees the integration of BMO’s partner enterprises in Quebec, notably by maintaining internal and external business relations – as well being responsible for upholding the bank’s many social and community-based commitments throughout Quebec.

Serge Lalonde

Counsel, Dentons Canada

As a lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial law, Serge Lalonde designs, manages, and executes projects requiring multidisciplinary teams in the areas of clean technologies, industrial complexes (both in Canada and internationally), small and large hydroelectric plants, and many more.

 Serge Lebeau

Agronomist

A well-known Quebec agronomist, Serge Lebeau has held a number of important positions in the course of his career, most recently as General Secretary of the Quebec Federation of Egg Producers, where has been for more than a decade. Mr. Lebeau has expertise in laws and regulations, codes of conduct and ethics.

Dr. Josée Savoie

Co-Director, General and Specialized Physical Health Program, CIUSSS NIM

A family physician by training, Dr. Savoie practiced for 20 years in the Geriatrics Service of Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital, including seven years as Chief of General Medicine at the hospital, a position she has held since April 2015.

Daniel Sinnett, Ph D

Director of the Research Centre, CIUSSS NIM

Dr. Sinnett is a renowned researcher in genetics/genomics and pediatric oncology with nearly 200 publications to his credit. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Montreal and post-doctoral studies in Molecular Genetics from Harvard Medical School.
