On March 17th, the Foundation organized a special event to celebrate, alongside all staff members of Sacré-Coeur Hospital, the hospital’s 100th anniversary as well as the Foundation’s 50th anniversary. It was also a perfect opportunity to thank employees for their dedication and outstanding work every day.
Celebrating together
At lunchtime, managers from the CIUSSS du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal joined members of the Foundation team to welcome employees. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, enhanced by a jazz quartet, nearly one thousand staff members were treated to dessert, coffee, and a commemorative gift marking the anniversaries.
A highlight of the day: Julie Pouliot, President and CEO of the Foundation, and Adélaïde de Melo, President and CEO of the CIUSSS, cut a cake in honour of the 100th anniversary — a symbolic and meaningful moment for all.

No one left out
Because every employee matters, the celebrations continued into the evening and throughout the night. Members of the Foundation team and CIUSSS managers, including Ms. de Melo, distributed treats, coffee, and gifts to evening staff gathered in the cafeteria, and later visited units to meet night-shift employees.
This thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated. Staff from all shifts felt recognized through this meaningful initiative — another great example of the strong collaboration between the CIUSSS and the Foundation.
