Feeding the Heroes Montreal, an initiative that takes you to Sacré-Coeur

It is with great enthusiasm that Sevan Apanian and his two work colleagues embarked on a project called FEED THE HEROES MTL / NOURRIR LES HÉROS and HÉROÏNES MTL. Through the gofundme.com donation platform, they collected donations and used the funds raised to purchase food for healthcare workers.

Thanks to this fundraising event, the funds raised made it possible to distribute prepackaged lunch boxes to health workers who work in hospitals in the Greater Montreal area, including l’Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur-de-Montréal.

They have already served hundreds of lunch boxes, sandwiches, salad plates and fruit in various hospitals since the start of the pandemic. On Wednesday, May 27th, Sacré-Coeur received a delivery of 300 snack boxes containing muffins and orange juice, to the intensive care unit, emergency department and the COVID-19 screening centers. The muffins come from Café de la Presse on Salaberry Blvd and the juices from John & Dino Distribution.

A group under the name Jacky Eats MTL has set a goal to raise $ 15,000 which it has proudly exceeded for this initiative, while supporting health heroes, helps local restaurants.
